The "G" in in 2G, 3G and 4G is mean generation. 2G first started in 1991 just enable us to send texts messages from one mobile set to other mobile set. 3G first started in 1998 hence we able to access the internet wirelessly.
Next generation started in 2008 the 4G thus we further got access to videos. From then we seeking for the 5G, thinking how fast will be the 5G technology.
The 5G expected coming in 2019-20 which make the smart devices more smart. Give us more apps more smart homes more smart network.
5G will have 40 to 45 times faster than 4G. Just imagine if a video duration of 2 hours with HD result downloaded in the 26 hours on 3G in 6 minutes on 4G network it will take only 6 seconds on 5G sounds pretty good.

It believe that it offer 10 Gbps speed in most congested case hence it much more times faster than 3G and 4G.
5G works with 75000 MHz, Now a days cell phones works on 7000 to 4000 MHz.
It has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that it will work with fastest speed ever but disadvantage is it works in very shorter range thus we have to increase the number of boosters up to millions may be on every home for using the 5G service.
On the other hand we also need such smart phones that support the 5G technology which automatically lower the service charges but it is not possible as early as 2108.
