Imagine you lost your way to a cinema but lost in unknown place of city. Yes, Apple carplay is there to lead simply ask siri to pull up directions.

Simplicity the plug and play:
CarPlay needs  users to plug their iPhones into the car. It's as simple as that; you're basically make hybrid your iPhone and accessing a little of its (very basic) apps through your car's system.

Music of iphone play in car as easy:
just your iPhone is logged in, CarPlay automatically starts up and is set to have fun.
Other than the average change, you're not receiving a whole lot that you don't already have on your iPhone. Not inherently a bad thing, but it means CarPlay is actually just an extension of your phone, and that's not just exciting.

But Siri is not working as high-quality co-pilot:
One of CarPlay's Best point is that drivers have a co-pilot, in voice-controlled Siri. Let's now say that in my time with the digital buddy, I would have kicked it to the control.
To be fair, tech demos on location can often be caught up by deprived connectivity and other environmental factors, so sometimes miscues can be forgiven.

Knob commands:
The plan is to finally optimize when voice commands are used and abolish touch as much as possible. manger of Mercedes  told me that they plan to apply touchscreen controls in the main manage knob you use to control CarPlay, but that feature isn't offered yet.
Mercedes' dashboard CarPlay display doesn't hold up touch either, and manager explained that at least in its case, the company felt it was too disturbing to be gazing at and leaning forward to fiddle with a screen at eye-level. in its place, the car maker wants drivers to have a screen they can quick look comfortably while controlling it from a "lean back and drive" point.

That’s so simple on hand on wheel other on knob:
The knob itself is smooth and shiny, and it's located right where your right hand would relax. Twisting and pressing the dial makes selections, and in a different way timed presses do different things. For example, if you love the Music app, a short press will take you back one step while a extensive press will take you back to the main menu.
The same way you discover out where letters are located on your phone's keyboard so you can text without looking at the screen its awesome, it should become ingrained in drivers' brains that two turns of the knob to the right lands on Maps, and so on.

Here is Calls, texts and the road Maps:
Messages can be read distinctly, and then you have the option to answer or leave it alone. Just as you do on your phone, a drop-down alert shows on the control panel display to let you know who you received a message from, and a red circle with a number in it will attach itself above the Messages icon.

PROS:
  • UI is pleasant
  • Physical knob is useful and well located
  • There is space for enhancement

CONS:
  • Good luck receiving Siri to understand you, Siri, understanding basic voice commands still
  • very basic functions.
  • Needs system more apps.
  • Unfortunately for the system, it's completely reliant on your iPhone 5S, 5C or iPhone 5. In other words, you don't magically acquire more car-specific functions just by plugging in your phone. What you have on there is what you get, and at the instant, that's not a entire set.
